The Ardèche: Canyons, Kayaks and Calcite, 2000
My old pal Michael from our university canoe club wrote on his Christmas Card "Am going canoeing on the Ardeche in May - do you want to come?" It took only about five seconds to decide this was an experience not to be missed, and thus it was that two vehicles, six canoeists (four of us geriatric paddlers from Cambridge University Canoe Club) and a geologist set off for Lyon shortly after May Day this year.
